NYC
A couple of weeks ago, I took a whirlwind trip to New York City with R & J to visit our friend A, who works in the city as a journalist. Even though New York is only a 3-4 hour bus ride away, it was my first trip there since I started med school (2 years!) and even then, I was only there for a grand total of a day, not counting transportation time. We stayed at A's cute apartment in FiDi (the Financial District), walked across the street to shops and restaurants in South St Seaport, and embarked on a food centered journey across Manhattan.

Thanks to R for the better pics (iPhone ones are mine). All in all, it was a whirlwind day in NYC. From walking over half the city to seeking out the best ice cream/froyo/brunch/dinner spots to an open bar and dancing until 2 am, I had a great time. Alas, I wish the trip were longer and that the four of us had more time together!
wow, just re-reading this makes me so hungry. it really was a food fueled day haha. so much fun... can't wait to see ya again in october (and november, and december)!
